Iraq War Audit to End?

According to the BBC, the organization auditing expenditures in Iraq is closing in 2007 due to an "obscure clause in a military spending bill." Is this true? No American news sites so far have reported it.

- I just watched the 2005 documentary, "Why We Fight," which is arguably a one-sided editorial about the military industrial complex ruling our country. The claim is our economy is built so much upon supporting military action that we have to create war just to feed ourselves.

- I take your point, though I'm clearly not blurting "show me right this minute or we don't believe you." Like I said, declassify the information after a period where it is safe to do so. I don't want other operations placed at risk by exposing this information.

- Doesn't matter if it was in the US. The planes were coming here. It was targeted at "us" which includes the UK and the US. That's how it's being portayed anyway.

- Correcting myself, change "assume Islam ruled the world" to "assume the Taliban ruled the world." I'm just making stuff up to make a point, not trying to pick on Islam. I don't know anything about Islam except I'm told by Homeland Security that the people trying to kill me are Islamic.

- I don't know any radical Islamic people, but common sense tells me they hate us because they feel we control them. They piss us off, we take over a country or two. We dominate them with masses of military power and force our ideals upon them. Ideals they strongly disagree with.

- Whether or not you think this latest terror plot was cooked up or not, it's too early to tell. Since the evidence can't be shared, we all have to go with our guts on this one. But that's beside the point.
